About

My name’s Sam. After graduating from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia at the end of 2008, I picked up and moved to Seattle, Washington. In the summer of 2010 I cycled across the United States with an organization called Bike and Build to raise money and awareness for affordable housing. The experience was nothing short of amazing and sparked my desire to travel.

In March of 2011, I left for Prague, Czech Republic to obtain a TEFL Certificate. Afterwards, a short stint traveling through Italy, Greece and Turkey ensued before I relocated to Taiwan (Republic of China). I lived in Chungli, a small city about 30 minutes south of Taipei for just over a year and a half.

By morning I cycled around the local area and planned trips around the island and Asia. In the evenings I taught English, consumed Taiwanese delicacies (when I felt brave), and dabbled in Chinese.

I’m currently living in San Francisco and am working in an amazing bicycle shop in Sausalito.

Chilling in Lukla, Nepal
